Kansas ACI is ...

An organization of and for people with an interest in concrete in Kansas. It is a volunteer driven group whose membership includes over 150 architects, engineers, educators, manufacturers, contractors, suppliers and others with an interest in concrete. Our mission is aligned with that of the American Concrete Institute (http://www.concrete.org) - to develop, share, and disseminate the knowledge and information needed to utilize concrete to its fullest potential.

On a local basis, we host educational programs and meetings throughout the state where members can network with others in the industry. We sponsor seminars conducted by the American Concrete Institute, making them available here in Kansas. We provide local ACI certification programs on a regular basis and offer academic scholarships to students who are interested in concrete. Our scholarship program also provides financial assistance so students can attend ACI national conventions and events hosted by the Chapter. In fall 2009 our chapter co-sponsored a pervious concrete student competition that included students from KU, Kansas State and Pittsburg State.

Our scholarship efforts are supported by our annual golf tournament. The 2009 tournament was very successful drawing over 90 participants to Spring Hill, Kansas. Golf, Concrete, Education, Networking – what a great mix!

Our yearly Awards Banquet has also been very popular, showcasing the quality and beauty of all types of concrete work in Kansas and providing proper recognition to those who design produce and construct it.

Our chapter has received the 2010 Excellent Chapter recognition from the American Concrete Institute, the highest award available for a Chapter. We are proud of what we have accomplished and know with your participation Kansas ACI can be even better. We look forward to receiving your membership application and seeing you at the next meeting.
